Welcome to the EO Member Spotlight series, where you can discover the leaders within our community. Meet Robert Cubick — our current Learning Chair and the Executive Director & Founder of ANDI Enterprise Management Consulting Service.Words of wisdom
- What’s one myth about entrepreneurship you think should be busted?
"The biggest myth about entrepreneurship is that we wake up one day, yell 'This is it!', quit our job, and immediately become billionaire geniuses sipping champagne on a yacht. The reality is waking up at 3am panicking about cash flow, wondering why the best customers do not place orders more frequently, continuously being on the lookout for the next big thing while simultaneously trying to upgrade our survival skills." Let's get personal - If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would your dream job or alternate life look like?"My dream job would be sitting in a pool reading books recommended by Vern Harnish dreaming up big new ideas knowing the company is running itself."- What does your business do, and how did it start?"We are a vertically integrated company focused on heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing. We combine distribution, manufacturing, services, and digital innovation, helping businesses access high-quality products and new markets efficiently.
It all started when I took over the distribution rights for China from my former employer."
- Why did you join EO, and what has it meant to you?"I joined EO to surround myself with people I can talk business with, swap lessons learned, and get inspired by real-world experiences. It’s about learning, sharing, and growing together. "EO Engagement
- How do you want members to feel the impact of your work on the board?"I became Learning Chair this year because I wanted to bring my own interests and curiosity into EO’s learning program, while creating opportunities for other members to participate, share their insights, and grow alongside me. It’s about turning personal passions into collective learning experiences."
Quick-Fire Fun
"Latte with beans from Ethiopia. "- Morning person or night owl?- First job you ever had?"Book-Keeping (OMG) as an intern to make money for my holiday."
We’re grateful to have Robert as part of our EO Beijing Metropolitan community. Stay tuned for more Member Spotlight stories celebrating the entrepreneurs who inspire us every day.
